The Humber mattress is manufactured to Crib 5 specifications thats required for hospitality and commercial establishments such as hotels, care homes, etc.

Its compulsory for the above establishments to comply with BS7177 ignition fire regularity standards that go further than those required for domestic use.

Upholstered in a traditional contract striped damask fabric, the mattress features a hand tufted finish that ensures the deep fillings are held securely in place.

Internally, the mattress consists of several layers of hypo-allergenic, white fibre fillings and a robust spring interior made up of durable open coil springs.

The springs are hourglass shaped and set out in rows running from head to toe, with spiral helical wires attached to the top and bottom of each row.

A thick rod-edge wire is them attached to the perimeter springs to strengthen the border and offer a consistent support across the width of the mattress.

Although Crib 5 mattresses are designed for use in commercial properties, they are widely used in family homes, thanks to their enhanced fire regularity standards.
