It’s beautifully hand carved from hardwood and the monkey has real character and a slight comic appeal when you look closely.

This represents Mizaru covering his eyes as a part of the famous Japanese proverb, ‘See no evil, Hear no evil, Speak no evil.

’ There’s a good sturdy table top resting on Mizaru’s head which is smoothed on the top with a spiralling grain effect that’s highlighted by the light resin finish.

The design looks rustic and will create conversation amongst friends and family when they visit for a get together as well as offering a place to store the accessories or even a handy little perch for someone.
