The representation is Iwazaru covering his mouth and is inspired by the famous Japanese proverb, ‘See no evil, Hear no evil, Speak no evil.

’ This is superbly hand carved from hardwood and the craftsperson gives the monkey real character plus a slightly shocked appeal as it puts its hand over its mouth.

The rustic look and feel is intentional and is sure to be a real talking point with family and friends at social occasions.

The solid table top resting on Iwazaru’s head is smoothly finished with a stunning grain effect highlighted by a light resin finish.
