PH Artichoke chandelier - glassThe spectacular PH Artichoke chandelier is a masterpiece of world-renowned designer Poul Henningsen.
Originally designed in 1958 for the exclusive Langelinie Pavilion, a modernist restaurant in Copenhagen where it still hangs to this day, the PH Artichoke chandelier is regarded as an international design icon.
The light, which has since been crafted by Denmark’s prestigious lighting manufacturer Louis Poulsen, continues to enchant all those who see it.
The light ensures a completely glare-free light due to the distinctive design of the 72 carefully placed steel leaves across 12 unique rows of six which resemble the buds of the pendant’s namesake, an artichoke.
The sandblasted lower surfaces diffuses reflection from the light and reflects it decoratively in the top surface, giving the chandelier an inimitable glow.
The PH Artichoke chandelier – glass is still assembled partly by hand to ensure the luminaire’s high quality and breath-taking elegance.
