Although it is modelled on the kind of lamps that were commonly used in the kitchens, cafes and bistros of post-war France, this polished nickel floor lamp defies the limitations of period.
The slender pole rises from a strong but subtly curved base to the first of three adjustment points, which give it an echo of the 1930s Anglepoise design.
The lamp takes a generous 100w bulb, and the conical shade concentrates the light in a well-defined area, making it ideal for spot-lighting tables or work surfaces.
