The Series 87 pendant light single by Bocci is constructed using soda water to trap air in the super heated glass mix, which the light filters through stunningly.

The heated glass mix is vertically stretched and folded back onto itself numerous times between pegs, as the glass cools this folding motion along the grain of the loop turns the entrapped air into microfilaments creating a pearlescent optical quality.

When the light is on its illumination travels down and into these microfilaments creating a unique sunset glow that is eye catching no matter the interior.
