The Fulton 4-light pendant from Elstead Lighting is an angular open trapezoid chandelier.
It takes a vintage industrial idea and reduces it to pure forms: the outer frame is dark and points down, the inner nest is bright and points up.
The resulting dynamic lifts this piece into another category.
The Fulton's design is also frugal in other ways - by dispensing with glass and linen shades it maximises light and minimises weight, and by freeing itself from ostentation it is certain to attract attention.
