The usual process would be to destroy these trees but instead they are now reclaimed and hand-carved into beautiful furniture for the home and garden like this beautiful Hand Carved Side Table.

The presence of Spalting in Mango Hardwood gives it the kaleidoscope of colours that you see in this table – the softer, golden-brown heartwood next to the lighter, yellow-coloured outer wood around the edge of the tree and consequently the table that it becomes.

The same rounded inner-grain of the wood is reflected both on the top of the table and the upward turned section of the base which looks really attractive in itself.

Would look great anywhere in the home … The skills needed to get the symmetry of the turns alone has to be admired and appreciated – add to this the kiln-dried finish and you’ve got a modern-day antique that would be a bargain at twice the price.

The underside of the base is lined with a felt pad for added protection and the product is delivered in a durable box so it reaches you in pristine condition.
