My love of woodworking began during my time when i was making my own snowboards. Snowboarding is one of the best things in the world, made better by only a few things, one of which is riding your own handmade board. However i discovered i had just as much fun making the mold as the board its self. So began the journey, in my parents garden with a few hand tools from my grandad and a kind neighbour i made a bench, then a cold frame for a friend and then kept being asked to make things. I got a small workshop and a tree surgeon friend would bring me slabs he managed to get in his car, and it grew from there. I have tried making most things but found a real love live edge table tops and power carving bases for them, making organic shapes that twist and turn to form a wonderful profile which is unique. I try not to make the same thing twice if possible, there are enough mass produced things. I have to say there is nothing wrong with flatpack furniture, i just think there is something special about one-offs.
