The story so far
Vintage wooden ladder-back dining chair with a hand-woven rush-style seat. The warm medium-brown timber frame has a simple, sturdy shape with rounded front legs, straight back uprights and two gently shaped horizontal back rails. The seat has a distinctive four-way weave meeting at the centre, giving it plenty of texture and a traditional country-kitchen feel.
The chair has lower stretchers on all sides for stability and a comfortably upright back, making it suitable for a dining table, kitchen or occasional use. It is shown alongside similar chairs in the room, but this listing is for one chair. There are visible age-related scuffs, small surface marks and wear to the finish, particularly around edges and the lower frame; the woven seat also shows light wear around its front edge. It remains an attractive, usable vintage piece with character rather than a pristine modern chair.
There are 8 in total - one requires a repair to a lower strut. Happy to consider a deal on more than one purchased.
