Painted Country-Style Welsh Dresser with Plate Rack, Drawers and Cupboards

Painted wooden dresser with an open plate rack, three drawers and three lower cupboard doors. Finished in a warm light cream, it has a contrasting wooden top and shelves, with visible grain which is treated and sealed. The upper rack has two long open shelves against a vertical tongue-and-groove-style panelled back, framed by shaped side supports and a scalloped front valance.

Below is a broad serving or display surface, followed by three shallow drawers and three full-height cupboard doors. The drawer fronts have raised fan-and-floral carvings, while the doors carry more detailed leaf-and-scroll relief panels above plain recessed lower panels. Round aged-brass-coloured knobs and simple visible hinges complete the country-style finish. There is minor wear around edges consistent with use and the painted finish, but the piece presents well from the front and has all new hardware and hinges.
