Vintage dark wood glazed display cabinet on cabriole legs

Vintage dark wood glazed display cabinet with a tall, narrow footprint and four shaped cabriole legs. The single glazed front door has an Art Deco-inspired curved muntin design, with two glass shelves inside and glazed side panels that allow light through from either side. A gently rounded cornice and small central crest finish the top, while the warm beige patterned interior backing gives displayed glassware, ornaments or collectibles a softer backdrop.

The cabinet has a deep brown, slightly aged finish with moulded edges around the top and base. It is raised well clear of the floor on curved feet, so it feels lighter than a solid-front cabinet of this height. The exterior shows age-related scuffs, rubbing and small marks, particularly to the top and lower edges; the back is more utilitarian in finish and has visible knots and surface wear. The glass shelves and door are fitted as shown. A characterful piece for a living room, dining room or hallway where a slim display cabinet is needed. One side glass panel is missing. Glass shelves have very small scratches. Top moulding is loveable.
