The story so far
Vintage dark wood dining table with a substantial rectangular top and matching high-back leather dining chairs. The table has a rich dark brown finish, softly rounded moulded edges and an especially distinctive trestle base: broad stepped feet support a long stretcher lined with turned baluster details. It has a traditional revival-style presence and a generous footprint for a formal dining room.
The chairs have warm brown wooden frames, curved X-form side supports and turned stretchers, with tall red leather backs and seats. Bronze-coloured stud trim follows the sweeping edge of each chair, giving them a more decorative finish while the curved feet echo the table’s shaped base. The set is suited to everyday dining as well as a more traditional dining space.
There is visible age-related wear around the lower edges and feet of the table, including scuffs and small finish losses, plus light marks to the leather chairs.
