The story so far
Oval cherrywood pedestal dining table with six matching cane-back upholstered dining chairs. The table has a rich warm brown finish, a gently raised and rounded edge, and a central pedestal base with shaped feet, keeping the perimeter free for diners’ legs. The accompanying Anjou brochure lists this as the 511 Oval Pedestal Table, measuring 140 x 110 cm with one 40 cm extensions for larger meals.
Each chair has a tall curved wooden frame, twin woven cane back panels divided by a central timber rail, and a lightly patterned pale sage-beige upholstered seat. The set comfortably seats six as arranged and has a traditional French country feel without being overly ornate. The tabletop retains a pleasing visible grain, while the chair frames show the small scuffs, marks and darker speckling expected from regular use; the cane panels and upholstery are intact in the photos. A substantial set for a dining room, kitchen-diner or larger entertaining space.
